Does My Moisturizer Really Matter? (Hint: Yes!)
If you’re like us, by the time you reach your bedtime routine, you’re ready to throw in the towel. Read: You sprint your way through washing your face and brushing your teeth, leaving your favorite cleanser on your face for approximately .0025 seconds. So does it matter if it contains 1,4 dioxane (and how harmful can that really be anyway)?
The short answers: It totally matters. And it can be seriously harmful.
Although our skin is well-designed to keep our insides from getting drenched by, say, water, other chemicals like nanoparticles are specially designed to seep right in. Worse yet, many products contain special chemicals called enhancers that team up with other chemicals to take a fast track under your skin. We’ll save you from the chemistry lesson, but suffice to say: Although everyone’s a little different, everyone gets exposure to a good number of chemicals, good or bad, through the skin. If your doctor has ever prescribed a patch containing medicine like birth control, you certainly hope this is true.
What does this mean? Just as you are what you eat, you are your favorite moisturizer. And your beauty routine could be coming with a side of not-so-beautiful health effects. If that’s not a reason to Switch2Pure, we’re not sure what is.
