- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice: Aloe Vera is known for its soothing and moisturizing properties. It can help with dry skin. Aloe contains polysaccharides that encourage skin repair and renewal. Aloe is anti-inflammatory, and also contains salicylic acid that can help gently exfoliate the skin.
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that provides mild exfoliation while still being gentle. PHAs can also have antioxidant properties and provide hydration to the skin. PHAs work by exfoliating dead skin cells on the surface, resulting in more even skin tone and texture. They also help other ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin, making them more effective.
- Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Fruit Extract: Watermelon extract contains antioxidants such as lycopene. Antioxidants help neutralize free radicals from the environment. Watermelon extract also contains vitamins A and C, and it can increase skin hydration.
- Lens Esculenta (Lentil) Fruit Extract: Can promote skin hydration and help the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lentil extract also moisturizes the skin.
- Glycerin: A humectant that moisturizes the skin by pulling water into the outer layer of the skin from both the air and from deeper layers of the skin. Some research also indicates it mimics the skin’s own natural moisturizing factor (NMF), making it compatible with various skin types. Helps hydrate the skin and then hold on to moisture.
- Sodium PCA: Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid (PCA) is an excellent hydrating agent and naturally occurring component of human skin. It is one of the ingredients in the skin’s natural moisturizing factors (NMF) and works as a humectant by attracting moisture from the air, imparting that moist feeling to skin. Sodium PCA is its salt form, and it functions as a skin-replenishing ingredient.
