I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and made my way to New York City in my 20s. My time in New York I have worked for ballet companies, fashion companies, and now my fashion and lifestyle blog, Blush and Blooms. When I am not working on my blog I enjoy going to dance cardio classes, frolicking around the city with friends, going to Broadway shows, and taking advantage of everything this wonderful city has to offer.
Why did you make the switch?
I am part of the tanning booth generation. I know how much damage I have done to my skin over the years. Switching to clean beauty was a no brainer once I learned about all the harsh chemicals that are in skincare and beauty products. After years of tanning, I want to erase the damages I have done while not putting on toxic chemicals.
Who is your favorite influencer or source?
Camille Styles has a lot of skincare tips, overall wellness advice, and healthy recipes.
Fave fashion statement or pieces?
Since it’s the holiday season I am all about sequins and feathers for a festive look.
Fave vacation spot?
I love visiting Charleston, SC. While in Charleston walk along Batter Park to see the beautiful old houses. Rainbow Row is not one to miss. Shop the cute boutiques along King St. Stop by Sugar Bakeshop for a sweet treat.
Fave Switch2Pure skincare items?
I love the Be Glowy spray serum. My skin gets really dry during the winter, putting on the spray serum helps moisturize my face mid-day. For my body I am loving the Wash This body cleanser. Not only does it nourish my skin but the hemp leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth.

My friend Christy owns a sustainable company called Reuse Revolution in Columbus, Ohio. She sells anywhere from reusable storage bags to nighttime balm for babies.
Why do you love Switch2Pure?
What I love about Switch2Pure products is the US-derived hemp ingredient. Switch2Pure is the first time I have used skincare products with hemp in it, and now I know what I have been missing. I also love that it’s clean beauty.
Fave things about other businesses that are owned by women and people of color?
Right now women are owning their own businesses more than ever. We are taking charge; whether it’s within the blogging world, skincare lines, clothing lines, or fitness studios. Women are really starting to step into their power and do it all, because we can. But what I love most about women owned businesses is how supportive the community is. Women are rooting for each other to succeed. That is something you do not see within the business world.
