COAL TAR
Find it in: shampoos, hair dyes, hair treatments. skin treatment and cosmetics.
Used to treat: eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and other skin, anti-dandruff agent, cosmetic biocide, denaturant.
Health concerns: known human carcinogen; skin and respiratory toxicant. Banned by Canada and EU. Occupational and animal studies have shown an increased risk of cancer after exposure to coal tar.
