A Love Letter to the Purist

Wow. Going Behind the GLOW one last time. Time has certainly flow.

In 7.5 years, we have served almost 100,000 people all over the country—UK, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. We've had over 15,000 people visit the Wellery and Spa, enjoying our saunas, natural tans, and non-toxic facials.

POP UPS were a huge hit—Los Angeles/Century City, Aspen, Dallas, Austin, Oklahoma, Beaumont, Florida, New York, New Jersey—and the list goes on. Our multi-state distribution through Saks, Rue La La, 13 Lune within JCP, and hundreds of wholesalers across the U.S. was an amazing experience as well.

What started as a ‘little idea’ while on vacation in the Galapagos has become a bright light and source of pride in my journey as a mom, wife, and entrepreneur—one who has battled Lyme disease, autoimmune conditions, and food allergies for decades.

It’s truly always been about the people.

From the moment I had the idea, I knew I could help so many purists like me—those overwhelmed by chronic illness, autoimmune issues, or reactive skin. They have kept me going ever since.

The calls, stop-ins, emails, texts, DMs, and master class notes thanking us for changing their skin or helping their 85-year-old grandfather—those will never be forgotten. You see, it’s the little things that remind us how we can change our little corner of the world.

I am beyond proud, humble, and grateful to have affected anyone’s life in a positive way. It is truly one of the greatest honors of my career.

Let’s talk about these formulas. What a fun time we had creating these efficacious skin and body care products—where luxury truly meets natural. We did a wonderful job formulating products that exfoliate, nourish, hydrate, and moisturize the skin. You’ll be happy to know that some of our hero products will live on at mdblend.com!

Our Wellery and Spa has always been a source of joy and connection.

Our purists have enjoyed gentle detoxifications, facials, and non-toxic spray tans. Team Switch has loved meeting HTX purists on their individual wellness journeys.

Speaking of Team Switch… without them, none of my outside-the-box ideas, obsession with detail, creative perfectionism, or desire to transform people’s skin would have been possible. A very special thank you to Kristine, Krystal, Savannah, Jamie, Yareli, and Lydia—and so many more from the early days.

Finally, to my family. Although I had a JD, I wasn’t using it at the time I started Switch2Pure. I didn’t have any practical retail experience, an MBA, or anything else that told me I could successfully run an enterprise. But I never let that stop me—because my family always had my back. They gave me grace when I traveled or worked long hours at pop-ups in the early days. Most importantly, they gave me their constant support. They always believed in ME.

They say being an entrepreneur is like eating glass or staring into the abyss—constantly problem-solving, constantly pivoting.

You honestly have to be fearless and tough as nails. My family always reminded me that I had what it took. I stayed the course because of their support. To them, I am forever indebted. What a financial and PURE success this expedition has been.

You have to know when it’s time to move on, and for me, that moment is now. I wanted to be intentional and strategic about exiting while Switch2Pure was still thriving—on a high note, just as we began.
