Joanne Starkman is our natural beauty and co-founder of Innersense Organic Beauty . She cofounded Innersense with her husband Greg Starkman over 14 years ago. Passionate about family, it was the birth of their daughter, Morgan, who inspired their journey into health, the environment and ultimately their chosen profession as hair care formulators in the beauty industry.
Morgan was born with Williams Syndrome, which led Joanne to take a deep dive into research of all kinds. She read extensively about genetics and environmental health. After adopting a healthy, organic lifestyle, she and husband, Greg, wanted to align their professions with their personal values.
Additionally, as hair stylists, Joanne and Greg were also motivated to create a professional hair care line that was not only safe for their fellow stylists to use, but also offering premium salon performance.

Because she really notices the immediate health benefits, Joanne likes to keep sugar intake to a minimum. Plus, by skipping sweet treats, sugar and processed foods, she notices her skin is clear, and her scalp and hair more vibrant. She makes sure to drink lots of water to help keep healthy, too.
